My career has been deeply rooted in hospital administration and working closely with surgeons, which gave me firsthand insight into the challenges and inefficiencies in the current systems. Recognizing the critical need for innovation, I turned my focus to leveraging technology to drive meaningful change. Solutions like MedTrak are at the forefront of this transformation, streamlining manual processes and revolutionizing the way care is delivered—both locally and globally. I am a neurosurgeon. Having spent my career in the era of the explosion of medical implants, I have dealt with implant issues such as implant infection, hardware failure, product recall, proprietary implantation tools and techniques, product warnings, explantation tracking, quality control, implant effectiveness, and proprietary tracking software. The issues are real, ongoing, and sometimes life threatening. I am dedicated to creating the standard for Implant Tracking. For Life.

I am a vascular and endovascular surgeon with more than 25 years of experience. I fulfilled my vascular fellowship under Dr. Edward Dietrich at the Arizona Heart Institute and served as the Medical Director and Director of Vascular Surgery during my 20 years at AHI. I have a passion for innovation and new technology. Vascular surgery has been at the forefront of new endovascular treatments especially in the field of aortic aneurysms. However the need for follow up of all implants is still a challenge. MedTrak is a platform that hopefully allows for better tracking of implants in the human body. I have dedicated my career to the treatment of peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, and venous disease and authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications as well as numerous textbook chapters. I am still actively involved in clinical research as the Principle Investigator of several ongoing studies. Formerly the Director of the Arizona Heart Hospital and recently Chief of Complex Vascular Services at the Honor Health Network in Scottsdale, AZ, I am currently the Founder of The Pulse Cardiovascular Institute and Chairman of the TED CONGRESS.

I am a medical device rep with more than a decade of experience. I have experienced both Field Safety Notices and FDA Device Recalls. I have seen first-hand the shortcomings of the current antiquated system. Prior to my time as a medical device rep, I was the Chief Radiology Technologist at one of the busiest vascular/cardiovascular hospitals in the US. Not only did we perform a tremendous amount of primary procedures, we had many secondary fixes of implanted devices. The reporting system for these secondary procedures is lacking and incomplete. An interactive database like MedTrak is the answer to all the deficiencies in the reporting system and the warning system. The MedTrak for Life tag line does not just mean tracking for the lifetime of the device or the lifetime of the patient, but it means added safety and real-time reporting for the protection of the patient with the implant. The time for MedTrak is now.
